About the project

Knowledge and verification first. Sales second.

PeletLab is a new project run by a Polish company operating since 1997. Wood pellets are a new line of business for us: we are currently qualifying producers and setting up a channel for regular purchasing and distribution. Before regular sales begin, we analyse producers, technical parameters, certification, logistics and the quality of individual products.

01What we stand on

Five principles we work by

The pellet market needs more reliable information and fewer promises. We want to be the ones who check before we recommend.

  1. 01

A company since 1997 — wood pellets are a new line of business

The company behind the project has been operating since 1997, but wood pellets are a new line of business for us. We do not present ourselves as an experienced heating-fuel trader — what we bring is a responsible approach to commitments and to our business partners.

  2. 02

    A technical approach

We assess pellets by their parameters and documentation, not by the colour of the bag or advertising claims. We organise this knowledge and publish it on this site.

  3. 03

    Qualification before sale

Before a product enters our offer, we check the certificate in the public register, review the documentation and parameters, and assess a sample and how it performs in practice. Where it is justified, we may commission an independent laboratory analysis.

  4. 04

Producers from Poland and across Europe

We talk to producers in Poland and abroad. The country of origin decides nothing on its own — we assess the specific plant, product and batch.

  5. 05

    Southern Poland first

We are building our sales channel starting in southern Poland — for households, businesses and hospitality. In the longer term, we are analysing the possibility of developing sales in other European markets as well.

02Honest about our scale

What we do not claim

Credibility starts with precision — including when we describe ourselves.

  • We are not a large importer and we do not bring in hundreds of tonnes of pellets a month today.
  • We do not have our own laboratory. We rely on reports from external laboratories and, where justified, may commission an independent analysis.
  • We are not a certification body and we do not act on behalf of ENplus, DIN CERTCO, FSC or PEFC.
  • We do not have a long track record in pellet trading — we are developing this business now, methodically.
